A self taught photographer and visual creator based on Sydney's Northern Beaches.
In 2009, I began taking photos as a way to help alleviate anxiety. Each morning would be spent on the beach photographing the sunrise. Experiencing the stillness + ever-changing dawn skies is a beautiful way to start any day..
Overtime, I began using the photographs I had captured to create unique "blends". A combination of several photographs into a single image to convey a thought or feeling. I began sharing these creations with people around me, and from there Hollytree Photo was born.
More recently, the past several years have seen the completion of a Diploma of Counselling, a certificate in Psychoneuroimmunology, undertaken various courses in trauma informed therapy, therapeutic parenting and mindfulness based therapies (MBSR), alongside regular volunteer work with Primary Ethics (primary ethics teacher) and Lifeline Australia (telephone crisis supporter).
As a result, these days Hollytree Photo has become a platform for sharing colourful + quirky visual creations with purposeful & practical information viewers may like to ponder or even apply in their own life.
